Examinations at Lavender International |

We provide examinations for Magnetic Particle Testing, including
PCN personal certification examinations to Levels 1, 2 and
3, plus examination for employers based schemes such as SNT-TC-1A,
NAS410, EN4179, to Levels 1, 2 and 3. We are unable to offer
ASNT Level 3 examinations, as these are only available in one
location in the UK. For the dates and location of the next

To be eligible for the PCN/SNT
Level 1 examination, an eye test must be passed (near vision
and colour).
The MT Level 1 examination includes a theory paper, specific
paper, and a practical exam.
The PCN requirements for Level 1 MT are: 16 hours training,
previous to the exam, and 1 month supervised work experience,
to be obtained either before the examination, or within 12
months after passing the exam.
Once the 16 hours training have been obtained, the examination
passed, and 1 month supervised work experience obtained within
12 months of passing the exam, PCN will issue certification.

if Level 1 is held, or 40 hours direct to level 2, previous
to the exam, and 3 months supervised work experience additional
to Level 1 (4 months direct), to be obtained either before
the examination, or within 12 months after passing the exam.
Once the 24 additional hours training have been obtained,
the examination passed, and 3 additional months supervised
work experience obtained within 12 months of passing the exam,
PCN will issue certification.

The Level 3 Basic exam must be passed, this is a theory
exam containing questions from a range of methods. In addition
to the basic exam, the method exam must then be passed.
For PCN, there are 3 theory papers, General, Specific, and
Written Procedure. In PCN, if Level 2 is not held, the Level
2 practical exam must be passed.
